ŠAŠICE

V dávných dobách času
zmizelého
míval každý král
šaška svého
Však v historie hlasu
se mlčí k tradici
že i královně své dal
její šašici

Tak jednou na hostině
když sluhům pokyne
královna pravila:
„To ze zásady ne!“
Tu z rohu svojí stinné
ač tvrdé lavice
takto promluvila
dvorní šašice:

„Vzácná královno
zásady jsou na hovno
sny jsou nemravné
a víra je podvod
Svět se netočí
priority odročí
vane zběsile
suchý vítr od vod!“

Šašek králův který
uslyšel to
blízko krbu spící
přikryt celtou
povstal, chopiv čtverý
pohár do rukou
každý vypil. Svíci
pozvedl pak. Oud

znavený svůj starý
na stůl položil
řekl, dřív než usnul:
„Šťasten jsem, že žil
jsem, byť nosím cáry!
Chci ze zásady ne-
být jednou z mocných nul!“
Však zvěst šašice ho nemine:

„Vzácná královno...“

„Račte pochopit
že je třeba uchopit
roztouženě, lačně
a jednoznačně
věci v základu...“
„Na což nemám náladu!“
řekla královna
načež šlápla do...
...nekonečna na na na ná...

JESTERESS

In the ancient days
of vanished time
every king
had his jester
However, the voice of history
is silent on the tradition
that he even gave
his queen her jesteress

So once at a banquet
when beckoning to the servants
the Queen said:
“Not on principle!”
Then from a corner
of her shady though hard bench,
thus spoke
the court jesteress:

“Dear Queen,
principles are shit,
dreams are immoral
and faith is a sham.
The world doesn’t spin,
priorities get postponed.
The dry winds are blowing
furiously from the waters!

The king’s jester
who heard it
sleeping near the hearth
covered with tarpaulin
stood up taking four cups
in his hands
and drank each of them. Then
he lifted up the candle

laid his old, weary limb
on the table, and said
before he fell asleep:
“Happy am I that I have lived
though I wear rags!
I want, as a matter of principle,
not to be one of the mighty zeros!”
But the message of the jesteress shall not miss him:

“Dear Queen...”

“You must understand
that it’s essential
to – yearningly, hungrily
and unequivocally –
grasp things at the root...”
“Which I’m not in the mood for!”
said the Queen
after which she stepped into...
